The Moose Hunt is Nearing....
Well folks, it has been a great summer in Armstrong Station, Ontario at Thunderhook Fly-Ins. We are still extremely busy flying in fishermen and women. One thing that has become extremely popular is the fall fishing and hospitality at the Smoothrock Camp, currently Debbie has around 30 fishermen in camp plus a large group of women. All reports as of today are that the women are outfishing the men and having more fun! On the Thunderhook side, the Dan Larson Party from the MPLS/Twin Cities area just returned from Shab Island a few days ago along with The Swift Party that was staying at Shab South. The fall fishing there was fantastic and many walleyes in the 23"-26" were caught and put back for future generations.
Over the course of the long weekend I traveled back to Armstrong to visit and finish up some office work that could be done. While there we put the finishing touches on our new Moose Cooler and the new sign on Hwy 527 for the Moose Hunt. So far, the sign has been a big hit and has added a bit of flare to the end of our driveway as well.
One thing I must apologize for is not keeping the blog as "up to date" as I would have liked over the summer. I have many pictures from the summer from both myself and customers which I will be posting throughout the fall. We will be posting all kinds of neat new announcements, incentives, and programs throughout the fall and into Sportshow season for those of you looking to come again on another fly-in fishing trip in Ontario.
We hope you like the new moose sign!
