Walleye pike in the 2 to 4 pound range are plentiful and can be caught all summer using live bait or a variety of artificial lures. Stringers of walleyes like the good old days become a reality. Light gear works best. Northern pike, found in weedy bars and off rocky points, range from 6 to 30 pounds. Lake trout from 5 to 35 lbs. will be found by the more patient fishermen in the deeper portions of the lake. Whitefish can be caught on light gear particularly in the spring.
