Ontario Northern Pike Fishing

Ontario Northern Pike Fishing

Between local conservation efforts and resort owners imposing their own catch and release policies, the population of Northern Pike in Ontario is growing every year. As the smaller fish population grows, so does the size of the true trophy fish up here. Much like with Muskie, Ontario is one of the best locations on earth to fish for Pike. While 42lbs is the current record, we've had a few at 40 to 41lbs in the last couple years so the next record could be yours!

Fishing Techniques:

DareDevils are the most common lure for Pike, while large sucker minnows are the best live bait. DareDevils are so successful because Pike prefer the flashiest presentation you can muster. The flashier the better so spoons tend to be your best bet overall.
