Welcome to the Smoothrock Camp; the Wabakimi's premier fly-in fishing resort. The camp, situated on a massive double-sided sand beach along the banks of the 24,000-acre Smoothrock Lake is the perfect destination for friends, family, corporate groups, bird-watchers, and of course fishing. Having been in business for several decades, Smoothrock Camp has earned a sterling reputation with walleye anglers from across the globe.

Been to the camp before? We've made several improvements including; wireless internet available to all cabins, a multimedia center, improvements to facilities, and more amenities.

Smoothrock Cabin #1

Enjoy the simplicity of one of our original cabins at the Smoothrock Camp, the Wabakimi's finest fly-in resort. This facility provides the simple angler on a budget a great fly in fishing trip. This cabin is great for those on their first fishing adventure to Canada. Ontario Fishing Resort Cabin 1

Smoothrock Cabin #2

This facility like Cabin #1 is still one of our most basic cabins at the Smoothrock Camp. Although it is basic in looks and design it is another great choice for the cost conscious fly in fisherman. Smoothrock Cabin #3

This is again, on of our most basic cabins here at the Smoothrock Camp. Although basic and original it still has hot and cold running water with a flush toilet and central showers. This classic still has a beautiful view of the lake and is in a breathtaking spot. Ontario Fishing Resort Cabin 3

Smoothrock Cabin #4

This cabin which is located on the point is absolutely spectacular! With 2 bedrooms and 6 single beds it is perfect for the mid-size groups. With a great screen porch and sand beach this cabin is great for those looking for privacy and the ability to swim right from the cabin.Ontario Fishing Resort Cabin 4

Smoothrock Cabin #5

Also situated on the point this cabin has 2 bedrooms and even double beds. Sleeping up to 8 this cabin is a great add on to cabin #4 for large groups seeking privacy. Complete with the sand beach and beautiful view, this cabin is sure to please everyone.Ontario Fishing Resort Cabin 5

Smoothrock Cabin #6

This is one of our very largest cabin that can sleep up to 10. Loacated right behind the main lodge in a beautiful grove of trees with easy access to the dock. Also features a screen porch and large living area.Ontario Fishing Resort Cabin 6

Smoothrock Cabin #7

A two bedroom cabin located between cabin #6 and the main lodge. This cabin which sleeps up to 8 also has 2 double beds. This is a great spot for the social butterfly as it is located right in the thick of things where all of the events take place.Ontario Fishing Resort Cabin 7

If you are looking for a historic cabin full of Walleye fishing memories this is for you. A cozy cabin nestled behind the main lodge and amongst the gorgeous pines, this cabin will comfortably sleep 4 with the option of 6. Great for the group looking for a rustic fishing vacation. Smoothrock Cabin #9

This is another one of our popular cabins at the Smoothrock Camp. Cabin 9 features beautiful vaulted ceilings made of peeled logs and is very open in concept. This large 3 bedroom cabin with single beds will sleep up to 8. With features such as an open living room with vaulted ceilings and beautiful hand peeled logs, this cabin is truly a sight to see. Smoothrock Cabin #11

Our newest and largest cabin. This facility features 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds and accommodates up to 12 people. This is a great cabin for corporate outings, meetings, family gatherings, and the largest of fishing groups. Complete with a gorgeous view of the lake and nestled among the trees. Guiding

Smoothrock camp offers a complimentary half-day guided trip available to all guests. Guided trips are available upon additional requests.

Fish Cleaning Facility

Enjoy our newly remodeled fish house.

Bait

Minnows, Crawler's, and Leeches are available for those running out of bait during their stay with us.

Pop

Is available in Debbie's Office.

Debbie's Office

has staples for sale such as cooking oil, fish coating, pop, potatoes, some canned goods and ICE. If you'd like something special just ask in advance and we'll get it for you. Chest freezers are available for freezing your fish.

Phoning Home

The Smoothrock Satellite Phone Booth is located right outside the Office if you need to make a call. Also, we now offer wireless internet service to most of our cabins. Debbie has a computer available for emergency emails as well.

Boats

Our boats are 14 and 16 foot Lund's with new 15 hp Yamaha 4 stroke with electric start. You can hook up your fish finders to the boat battery. Swivel boat seats are mounted on the boats.

Cabins

Each is equipped with propane grills and outdoor fish cookers.

Electricity

Our generator is on from approximately 5:30 am to 10:30 pm. Cabins have either solar lights or propane lights for use after generator is shut off.

Additionally

All guests have access to swimming beach, fire ring/pit, gazebo, as well as many other miscellaneous rainy day items (board games, cards, etc…)
