Exactly 2 months have now passed since Jim and I said boodbye to you at your seaplane dock and headed to Smoothrock. We had a blast! We caught a lot of fish (26.5" was the biggest) and we were treated like royalty by Debbie, T-Bone and Wolfman! We'll be booking again next year! Thank You! Dave McMillan
Everyone at Thunderhook and Smoothrock: The fishing has always been exceptional and Debbie is the best, but this year you have raised the bar higher. Excellent flight handling to and from the base camp by all. The fishing was better than ever. Those big 16 foot boats and 20 hp four strokes can only be described as awesome. Top notch accommodations. I dont know how you can improve on what you currently have.
Absolutely the best Pike fishing I have ever experienced. We caught a total of 5 trophies for the week with many more 40" + 10llb + fish. We also literally caught 100's & 100's of walleye. I highly recommend this outfitter.
The fishing during our early July trip at Smoothrock was fabulous as the four of us caught over 1,000 walleyes and many Notherns as well. The policy to return the walleyes over 18 inches is paying dividends as we recorded 54 fish in the record book. The 16 foot Lund boats and 15-20 hp four stroke motors are the best anywhere. No one can match your accommodations with indoor toilets, showers and day long electricity. The manager of Smoothrock is easily the best anywhere.
