Ontario Lake Trout Fishing

Ontario is one of a few locations around the world with the highest population of Lake Trout! While they can range from 24 to 36 inches on average, 15 to 40 lb. fish are not uncommon. Lake Trout are very elusive and tend to stick to deeper bodies of water making them difficult to find. They generally stick to depths near the bottom which can require downriggers for a successful catch.

Trout Fishing Techniques

  • Both artificial and live bait can be successful.
